Important Information

·        $50 non-refundable deposit will be kept even if party is cancelled.

Congratulations Zoo Teen!

This page will allow you to pay for your Zoo Teens registration fee and order any additional t-shirts (2 shirts are included in the registration fee).

New Teen and Parent Orientation will be held on May 1st and 2nd at 6:00pm and May 3rd at 4:00pm. You only need to attend one. Registration fees are due by orientation. 

Training will begin June 2nd for animal tiers and camp.

Abilene Zoo Camp

 Abilene Zoo Summer Camp operates under a Single Skill Exemption from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

***Please take note that the registration/camp process will look different from years past.***

• Camps are separated by age instead of grade. Campers will register for camps based on their age as of June 6th, 2024. 
• Instead of a package, you will be registering for the camp week as one item, with the Monday of each week as the start date. The full weeks dates are listed in the title of the camp. All camps run Monday through Friday. Tickets sent through email are not needed for entry into camp.
• There will not be a separate info/medical release form sent after registration. All needed information is asked at the time of registration and is required in order to register. 
• Camps will not repeat. There are 9 different camp options to choose from for each age group. Ages 5-11 years old have the same themes and the curriculum will be adjusted based on age. Ages 12-13 years old will have a different set of themes that include more hands-on, project-based, and behind the scenes activities. 

 Drop off will start at 7:30am on Mondays (park and walk up)

and 7:45am Tuesday-Friday (curbside drop-off)

Camp starts at 8:00am

Pickup at 1:30pm

Early Registration will open to members February 17th

Open Registration will begin February 19th

Cost - $250 per week for members and $275 for non-members 

 ***If you must reschedule your Zoo Camp session, please be aware there is a $25 rescheduling fee per camper per change if made within two weeks of the camp date.  

Cancelations/Refunds will be returned the full amount minus a $75 processing fee if requested at least 8 calendar days prior to camp week. Cancellations/Refunds requested 7 calendar days or less prior to camp week will not receive a refund.***

Zoo Tots Summer Club

Zoo Tots Summer Club operates under a Single Skill Exemption from the Texas Department of Health and Human Services.

Join us for fun weekly animal adventures at the zoo complete with animal ambassador encounters, informational lessons, and zoo activities!

• Sessions take place Monday, Wednesday, and Friday of each week of camp from 9:30am - 10:00am. Registration includes the entire week and days cannot be signed up for separately.
• Open Registration begins April 1st and remains open until August 1st.
• The cost is $55 per week for members and $60 for non-members. Zoo admission for the 1 child and 1 adult attending is included. 

• Rescheduling/Cancellation Fee
  • Cancellations/Refunds requested less than 7 calendar days prior to the event will not receive refunds.
  • The first reschedule will be done at no cost. Any additional rescheduling will incur a $25 processing fee.

Important Information

$50 non-refundable deposit is due at the time of booking, and the remaining balance (including add-ons) will be due one week before your event.

Set-up, break down and clean-up must occur within the rental time that is paid for.

The pavilion will seat 48-64 individuals at one time. (1 picnic table seats 6-8 people)

Rental does not include admission into the Zoo.

The facility will be cleaned and left in the same condition in which it was found. Compliance with all city, state, and federal laws is required. Alcoholic beverages, smoking, and gambling are not allowed in or around any park facility.

The individual(s) renting the facility shall take all trash to the nearest provided garbage receptacle.

No balloons, glitter, confetti, glass, alcohol, personal pets (service animals excluded), plastic straws, grills, or piñatas will be allowed on grounds for animal safety.

Sound levels must be kept to a minimum to not disturb others in or around the area. The use of amplified sound (voice and/or musical instruments) is permitted on a limited basis. The Zoo reserves the right to require individual(s) reserving the facility to reduce volume levels and/or eliminate all amplified sound that may be considered a nuisance to the adjacent areas.
